Motorola Inc is to sell part of its Modem business, according to Reuters, confirming rumors circulating earlier in the week (CI No 3,261). The company will sell its consumer modem business, including the Surfr line along with its plant in Huntsville, Alabama, but it has confirmed it will continue to supply modems to the corporate market and will maintain the development of cable modems.
