MOTOROLA TO BUILD TWO FACTORIES IN CHINA

Motorola Inc is to build two world class factories in the People’s Republic of China, one to manufacture semiconductors, the other to do mobile radio equipment, to serve the local market and for export: the Schaumberg, Illinois company reckons the operation – to be sited in Tianjian, the port nearest to the capital, Peking, could be the largest 100% foreign-owned business in China, with investment in the tens of millions of dollars.
