MOTOROLA TO BUILD $9M ISRAELI R&D FACILITY

Motorola Inc’s Motorola Semiconductor Israel is to build a research and development facility in the southern part of the country. It will invest $9m over the next three years building the facility near Ben Gurion university in Beersheba. The Israeli operation fabricates advanced processors for Motorola and has said it is working on a multimedia processor that will run 40 times faster than existing ones.
