At an analysts’ meeting on Tuesday the company said that they expect to make a slight loss in the third quarter of 2001, scrape into profit in the final quarter but beyond that they would not be pinned down.
At the same meeting executives accepted for the first time that the company’s recent troubles may not have been entirely caused by the economic downturn even going so far as to take some of the blame themselves.
