NetSpeak Corp, the Boca Raton, Florida internet telephony company that launched its IPO of 2.4 million shares last week (CI No 3,171), says that Motorola Inc has acquired an additional 452,855 shares of common stock in the Company by exercising a warrant granted to it in conjunction with its initial investment in NetSpeak last September (CI No 2,996). The warrant allowed Motorola to purchase the shares at $5.50. The current $2.5m investment increases Motorola’s stake in NetSpeak to 11.6%. NetSpeak shares, launched at $8.75, are holding steady in that range, finishing the day Thursday up $0.1875 at $8.875.
