MOTOROLA HAS EIGHT-VDU GRAPHICS CONTROLLER BOARD

By CBR Staff Writer

The latest graphics controller from Motorola uses a dual CPU architecture to support eight colour monitors at around $850 per channel. A Motorola 68010 handles multi-tasking and windowing, but Motorola has turned to Texas Instruments and its 34010 processor for concurrent bit-mapped display functions on up to eight colour screens. The MVME393 board is aimed at flight simulation, factory automation, and financial transaction processing. Orders will be taken from the beginning of September; no prices were given.
