MOTOROLA ADDS HANDWRITING RECOGNITION WITH LEXICUS PURCHASE

Motorola Inc wants to have a finger in all the mobile communication equipment pies and yesterday announced that it had acquired Lexicus Corp, a privately-held Palo Alto developer of handwriting recognition software for pen-based computers. The Lexicus product can recognise print, cursive or a combination of both according to Motorola.
