Motorola Mobility is planning to release a new Android-powered smartphone Motorola RAZR MAXX in the UK from mid-May which claims to offer up to 17 hours 40 minutes of talk time without battery charge.

The new smartphone comes with 1GB RAM combined with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. It will multi-tak, meaning users can manage their music playlists while checking email and browsing through photos.

Motorola RAZR MAXX is thin at just 8.99mm and is made of KEVLAR fibre while Corning Gorilla Glass defends the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display from scratches and scrapes.

The splashguard coating protects parts of the Motorola RAZR MAXX which even extends to the electrical boards inside.

The new smartphone also comes preloaded with the Motorola MotoCast app which allows users to stream or download content from a home or work computer directly to the device.

Motorola RAZR MAXX includes government-grade encryption and productivity tools that rival the capabilities of desktop PCs. Collaborate in real time with GoToMeeting and create and edit files right on user phone with QuickOffice.

The company is also planning to release the smartphone in Germany during the same month.
