In March Moscow Cellular Communications introduced a new service, Voice Mail. According to the firm, it is the only service of its kind in Moscow. The new service comes with an optional Call Forwarding feature which automatically re-directs incoming calls to a user’s Voice Mail Box number, depending on the forwarding conditions defined by the user. Each Voice Mail Box is protected by the user’s personal security code and the maximum number of messages that can be stored varies from 15 for the standard service to 40 for the business class. The maximum message length is from one minute 20 seconds to three minutes respectively. It costs $10 for standard and $200 for business class per month, but to become a Voice Mail user one must first become a subscriber of Moscow Cellular mobile services which will cost several thousand dollars. The system is set to go commercially on line on May 3.
