MORSE OPENS UK”S FIRST CROSS PLATFORM INTEGRATION CENTER

Professional services outfit Morse Group Ltd has opened what it’s claiming is the UK’s first cross-platform Enterprise Computing Center. Based in Brentford, West London the center includes Hewlett-Packard Co K-class servers and NetServers, Sun Microsystems Inc E10000s and Network Computers, Compaq Computer Corp 5000s and storage from EMC Corp and StorageTek, as well as a host of workstations, Network Computers and PCs, and business applications from SAP’s R/3 to Oracle Financials. The idea is to demonstrate and implement complete infrastructure systems including application scalability, resilience, integration between operating systems, backup and recovery, all addressed in the early stages of projects. The center cost more than 2.5m pounds. The company specializes in the design, test, prototyping and deploying of complex systems for Times 1000 companies, concentrating on systems resilience, network management, data management and retreival, and security and electronic commerce. Morse claims its Europe9s largest reseller, with offices in Manchester, Edinburgh and Frankfurt.
