BlackBerry Messenger app for iPhone and Android delayed again
The unauthorized version of the app that was leaked through the Google Play store has delayed the release of the official app.

The postponement of the official release will be at least a weekm according to Andrew Bocking, head of BBM at BlackBerry.

The unauthorized app has already had over a million downloads on the Google Play Store. The early version "resulted in volumes of data traffic orders of magnitude higher than normal for each active user and impacted the system in abnormal ways", Bocking wrote on a blogpost.

But if the company had gone ahead and released the official version, "we could not block users of the unreleased version".

eBay and Brgos team up
Shoppers who purchase selected items on eBay will be able to pick them up from an Argos store.

The new ‘click and collect’ scheme is being piloted in about 150 Argos shops on highstreets across the UK.

At least 50 eBay merchants will be taking part in the scheme.

By bringing internet purchases to the highstreet, eBay hopes to compete with Amazon’s locker scheme.

Google apologises for Gmail outage
A lengthy Gmail outage affected millions of users on Monday. Gmail issues an apology yesterday.

Up to half of users were affected, over 12 hours from 15:00 BST on Monday, with many taking to Twitter to complain. It resulted in a worldwide traffic plunge of 40%.

On Gmail’s status dashboard, it said: "We’re aware that prompt delivery is an important part of the Gmail experience.

"And today’s experience fell far short of our standards."

Last month, Google experienced blackouts across all of its services.
