MORE MANAGEMENT RE-SHUFFLING AT APPLE

The rearranging of the place names on the Titanic at Apple Computer Inc sees Avi Tevanian, who led engineering at NeXT Software Inc, heading Apple’s software engineering group. Jon Rubinstein, formerly chief operating officer of FirePower Systems Inc, heading hardware engineering; Guerrino De Luca, formerly president of Apple’s Claris Corp, is appointed head of global marketing for Apple; Ellen Hancock, formerly chief technology officer and head of research and development, takes the technology office, which includes responsibility for reliability and quality, the Chief Scientist, the Apple Fellows, and the Advanced Technology Group; and Marco Landi, who was vice- president and chief operating officer, will take over the company’s new Worldwide Sales & Support Organization.
