MORE FAXES FOR LESS PAPER

By CBR Staff Writer

The Japanese are very good at coming up with things you never knew you wanted, and Systems Intelligence Products Co Ltd, a Tokyo-based computer engineering firm has joined forces with ETIP GmbH of Germany to develop – wait for it – the world’s first reusable paper technology for facsimile machines and printers: the paper uses a patented thermographic process and a thermal printer, or thermal part added to an impact printer, erases previously-used pages as they re-enter the printer – and the use of 250 sheets of the paper will save one tree as well as other resources – but we’d hate to think what the sheets would be looking like once they had been through our facsimile machine a dozen times.
