Windows NT is winning the hearts and minds of corporate America over Unix, Westborough, Massachusetts-based Sentry Market Research reckons after analyzing the results of its 15th Annual Software Market Survey. The survey which was conducted among 700 sites in North America reports half of the respondents (up 12 points on last year) as saying that NT is likely to become their strategic server operating system, and 49% say they will use NT as their network operating system as well as their client system. 44% will also use NT as a strategic Web application server. 48% of respondents now use Unix strategically within their organizations, down a wrenching 26 points from last year, and nearly a third of the respondents were undecided.
