UK based open source mobile platform provider Modo Labs has released Kurogo Mobile Platform 1.5, which streamlines the development for mobile apps and websites.
Release 1.5 includes a new Social module that displays an aggregated view of an organisation’s social feeds while the built-in feeds supported in this release include Facebook and Twitter.
Social module claims of offer an open architecture for developers to add their own new sources.
The new open source Mobile Optimized Middleware will enable developers to build native iOS and Android apps from HTML and CSS-based mobile web modules with company’s new AppQ technology.
AppQ or App Quick is Kurogo’s new technology to create hybrid modules which enables a Kurogo mobile web module (HTML/CSS) to be converted into a native iOS and Android applications.
It helps Kurogo developers conversant in PHP, HTML and related web technologies to deliver Kurogo modules simultaneously across the mobile web and iOS devices.
In addition, Kurogo 1.5 includes an improved support for the Shibboleth authentication and the ability to display co-ed sports in the Athletics module.

Modo Labs chief technology officer Marshall Vale said Kurogo 1.5 extends the capabilities of streamlined mobile development.
