MODIFIED OFFERS MUSIC TO SURF BY

By CBR Staff Writer

UK media group Modified Ltd has come out with a free on-line four-track interactive music video that enables Web users to listen to a constantly-changing multi-channel soundtrack while surfing. Called AutoWeb Groove Cruiser, the 1300K interactive Shockwave single is programmed to respond to mouse clicks irrespective of which site a user visits. This is music to browse by. Each Friday evening we will be releasing a new single as part of the Web Freezer – Modified’s Friday night live World Wide Web interactive music slot, said Joe Maas, Modified’s Web director. Modified said it is now expanding and refocusing its Web site as an interactive music channel with regular programming slots. It will also provide a free service that enables surfers to send their own samples the the Web Freezer for Modified to convert into interactive singles. The Web site is at www.compulink.co.uk/modified. It also has Frequency, an interactive music CD-ROM for Windows95, 3.1 and Mac OS personal computers that contains a range of video graphics linked to a range of dance soundtracks. Versions are planned for the Sony Corp PlayStation, Sega Enterprises Ltd Saturn and 3DO Co consoles.
