MobileMax said that Verizon Business is leveraging its Enterprise edition platform to help deliver their new Verizon Global Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) offering to their enterprise customers.

Verizon FMC employs handset software from MobileMax to determine cost-effective routing for mobile calls. The service directs mobile calls to either Verizon’s cloud-based global voice-over-IP (VoIP) communications platform, powered by Broadsoft, or to the user’s mobile network service.

Verizon’s Global FMC offers a universal phone number that lets workers securely use the features of their PBX on their mobile handsets.

According to MobileMax, the initial offering is available to Verizon Business customers in nine European countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK. US and Asia Pacific-headquartered companies will also be able to take advantage of the new service for employees in the initial service area.

Anthony Recine, vice president of network and communications solutions with Verizon Business, said: “Working with MobileMax, Verizon Business is offering a significant value proposition to our global customers. With Global Fixed Mobile Convergence, we’re helping multinational enterprises unleash employees from their desks while keeping them in close touch with their business.”

Raanan Cohen, CEO and Co-Founder of MobileMax, said: “Verizon’s Global FMC offering is a ground-breaking solution that uses the advanced capabilities of MobileMax advanced software. We look forward to working with a leading global service provider like Verizon to help mobilise business for some of the world’s leading companies.”
