According to MobileDataforce, the new version is an upgrade to the company’s application development solution. It is an enterprise class development platform, which provides database centric mobile applications with bi-directional synchronization, connectivity, security and enterprise database integration.

Tim Cerami, director of product management at MobileDataforce said: PointSync Mobility Platform Professional 2.0 contains over 29 new features to help make mobile application enablement faster and less expensive.

The platform includes features such as larger data support for data intensive mobile applications, availability of server to server synchronization, easy mobile applications, enhanced global positioning system settings and control features such as control picker, tab controls, expanded toolbars and dynamic show/hide controls.

The company’s rival Me Inc, the mobile division of SCO Group, offers the Me Mobility platform, a similar mobile application development and deployment solution, which reduces the time and cost of developing solutions for mobile devices.
