MOBILE PHONES – ARE THEY A GOOD IDEA OR NOT?

Sir James Blyth already seems to be having second thoughts about the merits of Plessey’s dash into cellular telephone systems with Racal – and indeed the merits of the entire concept: at the meeting to announce the company’s year-end figures last week – after which the shares instantly dipped 12p, he told the man from the Daily Mail The analysts hear the figures then get straight onto their mobile phones and change the share price without giving it mature thought.
