The two Russian companies have refused to comment on the reports, however, the shareholders of Kuban GSM passed the final decision to sell the controlling stake to Mobile Telesystems, according to the chairman of the parliamentary subcommittee, Leonid Mayevsky, who has talked to the Russian newspaper, Vedomosti.
Kuban is said to be worth $70 million and has a valuable GSM license in the Krasnodar market.
