By CBR Staff Writer

Germany-based independent financial services and consulting firm MLP Finanzdienstleistungen has extended its outsourcing contract with HP for 10 years more to manage its information technology and applications environments.

Under the contract, HP will begin providing utility-based business process outsourcing services to accelerate efficiencies for MLP.

HP will also combine MLP’s IT infrastructure with its applications environment to build a utility-based service model, enabling MLP to scale IT services up and down to meet changing business needs.

The agreement will see HP continue to provide a full scope of HP Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing Services.

It will also continue to provide HP Applications Development Services and HP Applications Management Services, managing MLP’s customer-facing and back-office applications.

The company will provide HP Network Management Services to remotely manage and monitor MLP’s networks across Germany.

HP Data Center Services will help to ensure high availability of IT services and continuous reliable operations.

HP’s applications management provides tiered service levels to adjust support based on the criticality of each application and to recalibrate spending as technology and the portfolio changes.

HP hardware — including servers, storage, desktop and notebook PCs, networking and printers — is an integrated part of these services.

The company will provide these services from global delivery centres in Bulgaria, Germany, India, Poland and Slovakia.

HP Enterprise Services — Europe, Middle East and Africa senior vice president and general manager Mike Nefkens said, "For more than 10 years, MLP and HP have worked collaboratively, leading to today’s relationship, in which our complete services portfolio enables MLP to pursue innovative offerings with the backing of efficient processes and an optimized technology infrastructure."
