Japanese giant Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has developed a synchronous static random access memory (SRAM), operating at 500 MHz, which is almost 100 times more resistant to the cosmic ray interference which frustrates laptop users during airplane flights. Neutrons radiating from outer space are a hundred times more concentrated at flight levels than on the earthÆs surface.
