The mobile computing division of Mitsubishi Electronics America Inc has introduced what it claims is the industry’s thinnest, lightest and most powerful notebook, the Pendion. With a 233Mhz Pentium with MMX, 1Gb drive, 64Mb RAM and 12.1 thin film transistor display it is less than > thick and weighs just 3.1 pounds. Available early 1998, it’s expected to cost less than $6,000.
