MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC TO BEGIN MARKETING NEW RANGE OF SYSTEMS

The Japanese Fifth Generation Project is beginning to generate products, and Mitsubishi Electric will begin marketing a wide range of expert systems which run on the artificial intelligence personal computer developed under the project: the systems were originally developed for in-house use in plant control, production control, fault diagnosis and parts ordering and the company’s aim is to sell the concept of a programmerless environment to users in communications, aerospace and electronics.
