MITEL SUFFERS DELAYS OBTAINING CHINESE GOVERNMENT APPROVALS

Kanata, Ontario-based Mitel Corp warns that its previously announced $24m series of contracts to supply 175 GX5000 public switching systems to the Province of Hunan, China will not be implemented as a result of current and anticipated indefinite delays in obtaining the required government approvals: Mitel continues to work with the authorities to ensure its participation in China’s vast rural switching market.
