Mitel Corp’s wholly-owned Mitel Inc subsidiary has signed a non binding memorandum of intent with General Electric to acquire its US distributor RCA’s telephone systems business for an undisclosed sum: the move comes as a way of ramping up the Canadian’s competitiveness in the medium-sized PABX business.
