Developed as a single product, the software handles vanilla and complex derivatives, fixed income and equity and treasury trades on one platform. Misys says customers will see faster performance, new functionality, and a new architecture that enables multi-tiered and parallel processing.

Misys says the application is already used in over 140 financial institutions, spanning more than 250 sites globally. The software’s updates include a new ‘intuitive’ user interface designed to offer more flexibility and adaptability, a customizable desktop that can be tailored to the preferences of both individuals and groups of users, and an open architectural framework that keeps the Smart Client’architecture separate from the core Misys Opics Plus processing, allowing easy substitution of an alternative user interface.

David Stewart, Misys Opics product manager, said, Using Misys Opics Plus gives customers scalability to support growth in both future volumes and transaction complexity. The roadshow is intended to provide businesses with a unique insight into the benefits that this technology affords.
