The company has signaled an intention to increase its focus on security with the introduction last year of its email spam analysis, identification, filtering and management features to its messaging appliances.

Some of these enterprise security features are actually built-in to the Messaging Operating System of Mirapoint appliances and depend on the use of Mirapoint (or compatible) systems as the main mail servers.

The new Junk-Mail Manager feature is another key feature in Mirapoint’s newly upgraded Operating System (MOS 3.6), and is specifically designed to be deployed on its RazorGate appliance to address the problem of ‘false positives’.

False positive ratios are the metric anti-spam buyers are looking at closely, as fewer emails incorrectly blocked means less helpdesk time retrieving them.

Junk Mail Manager is designed to let users manage their own mail inbox by providing a ‘daily digest’ of all blocked messages, so that they can decide for themselves which message types should be released and which are blocked.
