Miracom Inc has signed 40 resellers to its preferred partner scheme and is looking for another 110 for the dealer category in 1992; these partners are additional to the company’s 200-strong dealer network in the UK; it has signed Ingram Micro Ltd as a distributor and said that it is the UK supplier of the Touchbase range of portable modems, following the acquisition of Touchbase last year by Miracom’s parent company, US Robotics Inc; in the UK, Miracom has announced a price cut on its V.22bis modem, the WS3000; it is reduced to UKP195, down from UKP395; other reductions include the Courier Plus, a V.42bis and MNP 5 Quad which is reduced to UKP445 from UKP500, and the Courier 2400e Quad, discounted to UKP400 from UKP445.
