AT&T Corp’s UK telecommunications market entry has been so low key that few people are even aware that it is hear, but the 200- employee UK operation did reportedly host a party for representatives of the top 1,000 UK companies last night; the company also formally announced its service, saying it wants to be a significant number two in the UK after British Telecommunications Plc and is looking to have turnover from all segments of the market in excess of a billion dollars by the turn of the decade, the firm said; it intends to be offering services to parts of the residential market by this time next year; it now does not want its own infrastructure.
