Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based telecoms equipment manufacturer, Science Dynamics Corp has cut its staff by 35% as part of a restructuring effort that it expects to continue throughout the first and second quarters and says it expects to see gains from cutbacks in the third quarter. Science Dynamics said its correctional facility inmate phone control and incarceration systems – prison control systems in plain language – rallied with strong sales in 1995, and are expected to remain strong throughout 1996. It also plans to improve sales in the debit card telephone and video imaging markets. It will work with other telephone companies to develop new payphone management and point of sale systems, and increase its emphasis on phone company operations support development.
