Jackson, Wyoming-based Travelers Group Inc and Data Broadcasting Corp signed a definitive agreement with Internet Financial Network that includes an option for the companies to acquire a controlling interest in the network. Internet Financial Network is the developer of a commercial network that delivers real-time, electronically formatted US Securities & Exchange Commission documents over the Internet. The deal also includes a five-year agreement with Data Broadcasting for exclusive distribution of Securities & Exchange documents over Microsoft Corp’s Microsoft Network and other wireless and on-line distribution channels. Data Broadcasting said it will make the service available over its recently announced MarketWatch service, which will begin delivering real-time share prices over the Internet in March.
