Munich, Germany-based mobile phone network operator E-Plus said it plans to cut rates more than 30% for frequent users. In an interview with the weekly news magazine Focus, E-Plus said it would unveil its new pricing plan at CeBIT this week. The company plans to expand its customer base to 1m by the end of 1997 from 240,000 now. In the next two years it plans to add 500 employees to the current 2,000 and said it is likely to reach the break- even point in 1998. Thyssen Telecom AG and Veba AG-subsidiary Vebacom GmbH each hold 305 of E-Plus, while BellSouth holds 21.4% and UK Vodafone Group Plc 16.4%.
