MINDSPRING COMPLETES NETCOM BUY FOR $245M

MindSpring Enterprises Inc said Wednesday it has completed the acquisition of the US subscribers and other assets of Netcom On- Line Communication Services Inc from ICG Communications Inc. The final sale price of the deal, announced last month, was approximately $245m, including $215m in cash and $30m in MindSpring stock.
