Austin, Texas-based Matrix Information and Directory Services (MIDS) has acquired exclusive rights to the Internet Domain Survey (IDS) from Network Wizards. The widely respected survey was launched by Menlo Park, California-based Network Wizards in 1987, and since 1993, Network Wizards and MIDS have been working together to produce the IDS. Under the new agreement, MIDS will take over raw data processing and will market and sell some results. The rest will go up on the MIDS web site at https://www.mids.org/ and in various publications. The results will be published every six months initially, moving to every three months over time.
