The news comes after speculation that the first Microsoft Zune devices would not have video capability.

Zune, which will comprise a media player, software and download service, is being touted as an ‘i-Pod killer.’ Apple’s iPod currently holds a 50% share of the digital music player market, while its download store iTunes has a 70% share of the US market.

EMI artists that may appear on the Zune devices include alternative rock band 30 Seconds to Mars and electro outfit Hot Chip. The EMI videos will be preloaded alongside promos from other music labels.
