Microsoft Corp has updated its Visual C++ offerings with a Technology Preview of a new development environment, giving developers access to Dynamic HTML and Internet Explorer 4.0, OLE DB and fast data access, all part of Microsoft’s Universal Data Access strategy. Release dates for the next version of Visual C++ 5.0 have not been announced, but the Technology Preview is a first look at some of the new functionality to be included. It’s out on CD, or downloadable from the Web site.
