MICROSOFT TOUTS APPLICATION SERVER CRED

Bowing to the current vogue, Microsoft Corp is now referring to a collection of Windows NT technologies as its application server and yesterday lined up Compaq, Computer Sciences, Ontos and XtremeSoft to trumpet their support. COM+, the term used to describe the COM implementation in Windows, Transaction Server, Message Queue, Active Server and Internet Information Server, each fall under the application server label.
