MICROSOFT TO OFFER MS-DOS THROUGH OEM AGREEMENTS

The Japanese have been so badly brought up by manufacturers that they still expect to get system software free, and Japanese software houses are disconcerted that with the ending of Microsoft’s agreement with ASCII, MS-DOS is no longer free, so that they can no longer offer it bundled with their applications; Microsoft plans to offer it through OEM agreements with manufacturers, at about $120.
