By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft Corp, trying to rough up Wabi, is this week scheduled to announce a highly hostile price cut on the Word and Excel packages it has been bundling with Quorum Software Inc’s Equal applications adaptor and selling into the Unix market. Since June, the three-piece suite has been sold on a CD for $1,300. The two are now going to break it up into Equal with either Word or Excel, and will price it at $300 for personal computers.
