Microsoft stokes up storage work in India

Microsoft Corp has extended its storage development operations to Hyderabad, India, where it has set up its second Enterprise Storage Division.

The ESD in India will include 30 developers, and will work in tandem with the ESD at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington, focusing on NAS software. The company would not say how many developers are part of its Redmond ESD. Overall the company has 150 developers at Hyderabad, and will double that number to 300 next year.
