Continuing its policy of handing off customer support to third parties, Microsoft Corp has chosen Digital Equipment Corp, Keane Inc, MicroAge Computer Centers Inc, Softmart Inc and Unisys Corp to provide customer support for the launch of the Windows95: no word of who will be signed in Europe, where Microsoft has agreements for similar services on NT with ICL Plc and Ing C Olivetti & Co SpA: Microsoft says that during the initial months of peak support demand for Windows 95, the five will help provide telephone support for customers in their initial period of no-charge support for Windows95, within 90 days from their first alarm call.
