Through its established NBG EDV Handels & Verlags GMBH subsidiary, Activision will distribute Xbox system hardware and software to the German independent retail channel, excluding the toy channel. This agreement further strengthens Activision’s distribution and marketing operations in Germany where it currently provides video games from Activision and other leading independent software publishers.

NBG EFV Handels & Verlags was named an Xbox distribution partner after a thorough selection process led by Risto Rautakorpi, Director Microsoft Home and Retail Division, EMEA. The company was chosen based on meeting a number of criteria including skills, experience, efficiencies in customer management, leading edge approach, account management, logistical execution, system’s flexibility, adequacy of storage facilities and financial strength.
