MICROSOFT SAYS IE 4.0 DOWNLOADS HAVE TOPPED 1 MILLION

Microsoft Corp is boasting that one million people have already downloaded Internet Explorer 4.0 from the company’s home page since it was made available Tuesday night – a rate of more than six copies every second – and that’s not including figures from 20 other partner sites that have made IE 4.0 available. Redmond says another 200,000 copies have been delivered to users who pre- ordered the browser through an early reserve program.
