Microsoft has released Management Reporter for Dynamics ERP, a corporate performance management offering that provides real-time financial reporting for midsize businesses.

The Management Reporter, formerly codenamed Management Reporter 2.0, will act as the replacement for Microsoft FRx, a financial reporting and analysis application available to Dynamics ERP customers, the company said.

The company said that Management Reporter enables users to create, generate, help secure and publish financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.

In addition, the new offering provides financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations. It also supports regulatory requirements, such as generally accepted accounting practices and international financial reporting standards.

Microsoft said that FRx customers making the transition to Management Reporter will experience new features including, direct integration to the Dynamics ERP general ledger; reusable building blocks – blocks of report, row, column and tree definitions can be mixed and matched to produce a variety of reports; and a report library where reports can be stored and viewed.

Crispin Read, general manager of Dynamics ERP at Microsoft, said: “This is the first step in a multiyear roadmap to deliver broader corporate performance management capabilities across our Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions.

Management Reporter retains many elements of the Microsoft FRx product but is built on a completely updated architecture that will provide a new level of scalability and reliability for customers.”
