A vulnerable implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol could be exploited to cause the vulnerable system to fail in such a way that it could cause a denial of service. There is not believed to be a remote-control exploit.
Microsoft recommends that companies, to avoid being exploited, either block TCP port 3389, disable Terminal Services or Remote Desktop, or secure the remote desktop connections with IPSec or a VPN.
