Version 5.0 includes a laundry list of new functionality that leverage key advances included in the core SQL Server 2005 database architecture for BI.

These include a new powerful and adaptive information management server that supports defining and executing complex business models, guided analysis for root-cause analysis, offline analysis, better charting and visualization, tighter integration with Microsoft Office and SharePoint environments, unfied security and a new .NET client.

Meanwhile ProClarity’s Analytics 6, version 6.1 software also taps into the enhanced BI features in SQL Server 2005 offering advanced support for UDM (unified dimensional model), an improved analytic dashboarding server, report publishing capabilities, and tight integration with Microsoft’s Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager application.
