Microsoft fires CIO

Microsoft has fired chief information officer Stuart Scott for an unspecified 'violation of company policies.' Scott was let go last week, following an investigation.

The company confirmed the move yesterday, without giving out details about why he was fired.

Microsoft general manager Shahla Aly and corporate vice president Alain Crozier will reportedly take over the CIO role while a permanent replacement is sought.
