MICROSOFT EXPECTS PC SALES TO GROW 26% FOR 12 MONTHS TO JUNE

Microsoft also says that on the basis of the operating system licences it is selling, it looks for personal computer sales for the 12 months to June – its financial year – to grow 26% to 6.5m units after a 30% growth to 5m the previous fiscal year – and that 55% of the machines will be based on the 80286 or 80386, up from 42% last year.
