Microsoft Corp pointed to Sun Microsystems IncÆs recent acquisition of Star Division as evidence that its dominant market position was no defense against new competition. DellÆs decision to pre-package the Linux operating system on some computers was cited as another threat to MicrosoftÆs Windows business, in the company’s findings of fact summary document submission to US District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson late on Friday.
Both Microsoft and the Department of Justice filed the lengthy documents, which the Judge will consider before making his initial rulings in the antitrust case, probably towards the end of October.
